He's got a [E]4x4 pickup, with a [G]Texas flag hangin' in the back
[A]He's got a cowboy hat and a shotgun hangin' [E]on that ol' gunrack
He's got a [E]CD player blarin' out a [G]Marshall Tucker tune
[A]Sitting down on the Sabine River fishin [E]underneath a harvest moon
We don't follow the main stream, we follow our nose
We got a case full of legends like Merle Haggard and the Bar Ditch Boys
And the yankees call us rednecks and I reckon that's a fact
But I'm so proud of my heritage living down in the promise land
Chorus:
See, we're [G]Texas [A]country [E]made. we've got [G]Shiner Bock and [A]Lone Star in our [E]veins
Yeah we're [G]Texas [A]country [E]made, yeah[G] we like a little [A]gravy on every[E]thing
We're [G]Texas home[A]grown country [E]made
Well my granddaddy played the guitar, he could run it up and down the neck
Sometimes when he'd play it would send chills up and down my baack
And the day that he died well I surely cried cause I'd lost a history
But he'd want me to keep on playing and livin' in his memory
