SLOAN - Sugartune
From: Smeared
Tabbed by: Mark Wiebe, [email protected]
This song has already been posted by someone else but it's
totally wrong, so I thought I'd put my own version on. I'm
glad to see that there are some other Sloan fans out there
in cyberspace. They were a great band while they lasted. Tell
me if you have any comments, corrections, or suggestions. Thanks.
Tuned down about a half step Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb (It doesn't
seem like it's quite on the exact pitch, so you might have
to fool around with you're tuning pegs a bit to match it.)
During A, B, C# part of Fig.1 part the second guitar sometimes
picks the notes of the chords rather than strumming them.
Fig.1
[E] [Ab] [B/F#] [A][B][C#][F#]
Verse (Fig.1)
I [E]wrote for you a [Ab]sugar [B/F#]tune

.....sugartune....by sloan
if you don't know sloan, they are (were) a cool Canadian band
that just recently broke up. ):
here's the song sugartune from their first album "smeared" (go buy
it) It's pretty easy, mostly power chords, I don't have some
parts, so if you like sloan help me out.
For people who have never heard this song before I put in the beat
values, for the intro atleast.
Play with distortion, I think there's another guitar playing some-
thing but I have no idea what.
(chords used)
[D5] [C5] [A#5]
(Intro)
[4]4 [D5]1 & [C5]2 [C5] & [A#5] 3 [A#5] & [C5]4 &
[A#5]1 [A#5]& [C5]2 [C5]& [D5]3 [D5]& [A#5]4 &
or something along those lines....
(Verses)
I [D5]wrote [D5]for [C5]you,
A [A#5]sugar [C5]tune,
[A#5]Help you [C5]through what you [D5]gotta [A#5]do.
the same chord progression is played for these lyrics...
When you're one the ground,
And keep falling down,
remember how I made this sound.
(Chorus)
[D5]I [A#5]know [A#5]when
[D5]ever[C5]ybody's [D5]got [C5]one,
[A#5]You [A#5]want [D5]one [C5]too.
...that's all I have so far, it's the basic song. There's a couple
fills missing, but there not that hard to figure out...
my first tab, hope you enjoy it.....
