COLIN'S NOTE: Ok. The Quarter Step tuning. Ryan helped explain this to me.
The tuning is used on all the old foreign objects INSTRUMENTAL songs by accident, it just
happens to be what Deron was in at the time I guess. So how do you achieve
said "quarter step" you ask? Well it's as the name implies..A quarter step
down from your standard E. The easiest way,I'd say, is to tune your E string
up or down(depending on what are tuned in already) to Eb. Now tune it up a little
more so it's not quite an E, not quite an E flat.It should be easy to see
if you're using a tuner.
This tab is in that tuning. All my old FO instrumental tabs that are tabbed
in Eb or standard will sound correct if you play them that same way with the Quarter Step
tuning. However, like my Disengage demo tab, I did in whole step down,
so if you go in 1/4 step like a good boy or gal, you will have to subtract one (1)
from all the numbers (MENTALLY') in the tab to match the song.
"All this trouble just to match the recording? WTF?" you ask. Well yes,
this is for all you weirdos that need to match it..hah just kidding, I wanted
to try this out too for such a badass song..But of course if you are
just lazy and want to learn the song, play away on E flat or wherver.
NOTE: I DON'T HAVE THE LITTLE ALIEN SOUNDING RIFFS TABBED YET, THE ONES THAT GO OVER RIFF 2 AND RIFF 3
