Therapy? - "Jude the Obscene" accoustic version from the Diane EP
I don't have all the lyrics for this one, but it is quite a simple song
to play and sing if you know it.
INTRO:
Am / G / x4 (two beats on each chord)
[Am]He [G]was born [Am]the same [G]time as [Am]me [G] [Am] [G]
To a long tall(?) woman who died twenty-three
[F]Now you're [C]here (four beats on each chord)
[G]They can't shove you [Am]back
[F]You go on [C]living your life out of [G]spite (hold the G for 8 beats)
[ Tab from: http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/t/therapy/jude_the_obscene_crd.html ]
And I'm waiting for jude the [Am]obscene [G]
[Am]waiting for [G]jude the [Am]obscene [G] x2 (I think!)
The song continues to repeat the same structure another three times
through a second verse, a solo, and a thrird verse. It ends on an extended
chorus with a modulation to F on every other turnaround of the sequence:
And I'm waiting for jude the [Am]obscene [G]
[Am]waiting for [G]jude the [Am]obscene [G]
[F]waiting for jude the [Am]obscene [G]
[Am]waiting for [G]jude the [Am]obscene [G]
[F]waiting for jude the [Am]obscene [G]... etcetera
I haven't heard this record for a while so this might be a bit vague. If I get
hold of a copy again, I will try to get the rest of the lyrics and the solo.
PLU,
Mandel Bee
