Alright, this is my interpretation of the chords for Antibodies by Poni Hoax. It's
a great song, and I originally went on UG to do a search for chords for it, but
only a bass tab came up. If you disagree on the chords or anything else in the
song, do not hesitate to leave a comment or a message.
Once in the song, the chord Db/F comes up. I figured out, that the best way to
play it would probably be like this:
(ch)Db/F(/ch)
E x
[B] [6]
[G] [6]
[D]A [6]8
E x
But if you don't think it fits, then you can just play Db instead of Db/F.
If you're not comfortable with taking that chord, you can also put a capo on the
first fret, and just don't mute the E string when you play the Db/F chord, so it
will look like this:
Db/F capo alternative
[E] [4]
[B] [6]
[G] [6]
[D]A [6]8
E 1 (from the capo)
There is one Abm in the end of the first verse that I've marked with a . In the
song, this is played an octave higher than the other Abm chords, so instead of
taking it as a barr chord on the fourth fret on the E string, take it as a barr
chord on the eleventh fret of the A string, like this:
Abm Abm
E x E 11
[B] [4] [B] [12]
[G] [4] [G] [13]
[D] [6] [D] [13]
[A]E [6]4 [A]E [11]x
Standard EADGBE Tuning
No capo (I could make a capo version if someone requests it, however I believe
it's pretty easy to play with barr chords.)
Intro: Ebm
[B]Alone,[Db] sex in [Ebm]shadow walks[Db]
At [Abm]home[Bbm] with [Ebm]you
You [B]say[Db] you have [Ebm]no control[Db]
At [Abm]all,[Bbm] on [Ebm]you
B Db Ebm (ch)Db/F(/ch)
The world is an empty place
Abm Bbm Ebm
Alone with you
[Ebm] [Db] [Ebm] [Db] [Ab] Antibodies, antibodies, antibodies, antibodies
[Ebm] [Db] [Ebm] [Db] [Ab] Antibodies, antibodies, antibodies, antibodies
[Eb] [Ebm]
A[B]lone,[Db] sex in [Ebm]shadow sets[Db]
The [Abm]words,[Bbm] we're [Ebm]through
These [B]words[Db] have been [Ebm]such a waste[Db]
My [Abm]wishes[Bbm] show [Ebm]through
So [B]I [Db] will for[Ebm]get your face
Abm Bbm Ebm
Each time we're through
[Ebm] [Db] [Ebm] [Db] [Ab] Antibodies, antibodies, antibodies, antibodies
[Ebm] [Db] [Ebm] [Db] [Ab] Antibodies, antibodies, antibodies, antibodies
[Ebm]
[B] [Db] [Ebm]
[B]Antibodies antibodies[Db][Ebm]
[Ebm]Antibodies antibodies
I'm a little unsure about the last part, I think the arpeggio plays Ebm through
the whole last parts, but the strings go B Db Ebm twice, then Ebm the last part.
This is my first tab on here, hope the format works well and all. Comment and rate
the tab if you liked it! :)
