This one's fun to play and has a great message about friendship
and how life can pull us away from eachother.. It's straight
forward except watch for the added lyric and additional chords
at the end of the second chorus. The chorus normally ends on the
C but with a little vocal vamp here, it moves thru the G, Dm and
F then holds in F to start the third chorus. I also tabbed the lead
guitar that happens under the vamp. Last note of the lick, slide down the A string from the
10th fret and land on the F bar chord. Or, you can play the open G
while you're moving to the bar chord.
The Intro/Outro is 2 guitars...here they're lined up so you can
see how it times out. The lead is letting the strings ring while
rhythm is palm muting at the bridge and staying off the 2 E strings.
It counts 123, 123, 12 three times then nice full chords to finish
it. I like to fatten the C at the end by adding the G note on the
low E third fret.
There's a similar pattern on the D string during F chords that start the second verse and
third chorus. The count on the D string varies...sometime 2 beats at the 2nd fret, sometimes 3,
then the remaining beats on the open D. (see fig 1)

So if you don'[F]t mind
Let's just say[G] for now
See you when I [F]see you

We'll laugh about the [F]old days[G]
