I was lo[G#m]st in the dark,
And the [G#m/G#]fear____ was in my h[G#m]eart,
All ar[F#]ound me the forest and the r[E]ain,
Then with the f[G#m]lash of a light, [C#m/G#]I saw___ it in the night,
I mu[F#]st be getting near - Saint Peter's G[G#m]ate!
When I [G#m]went through the door, he was s[C#m]tanding in the [G#m]hall,
An [F#7]old man with a beard of shining w[G#m]hite,
He said "I've been expecting you, let me s[C#m]how you to your room",
And he t[F#7]ook me all the way by candl[G#m]elight,
And lying t[F#7]here on the bed, a [C#]book, black & red,
My na[E]me was written on the front in[D#7sus4] gold,
[D#7]And when I [G#m]opened it up, there were p[C#m]ictures of my life,
And a v[F#7]oice began to call from down b[G#m]elow[-];[F#]
[E]Nobody will get th[B]rough, nobody,
Not even [F#]you, can escape the judgement [G#m]day,[-][G#/D#]

"Come with me" said that old man, as he took me by the hand
"There is someone here that you have seen before,
In this room on the left, a man who did his best,
To bring joy and happiness to one and all;
But in that room on the right, a dictator in life,
We've been waiting for him here,as you can tell,
For all the blood he's spilled,
And for all the ones he's killed,
We condemn him to eternity in hell;
Nobody will get through, Nobody,
Not even you, can escape the Judgement Day,
Nobody will be spared,Heaven is only there,
For the ones who satisfy them at - Saint Peter's Gate.

A [F#7]woman, like an angel all in [G#m]white,
And then she told me "You must run, for your [C#m]time has yet to come,
Go [F#7]now, before they change their [G#m]minds",
And from the [F#7]window I saw,

And his c[G#m]ries broke the sound,
Of my f[C#m]ootsteps on the ground,
