OUT OF THE WOODS - Nickel Creek
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~ Here is what makes this tab different and exciting. I saw a lot of tabs in D.
It sounds a little superficial on one acoustic guitar. This is the song in the key of E.
It sounds majestic, especially when you have to play it by yourself and you don't have the
luxuries of a skilled mandolin player and sound dubbing.
The Chords:
E A C# B A C# B E
e|---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0---
B|---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0--- ---0---
G|---9--- ---2--- ---13-- ---11-- ---9--- ---6--- ---4--- ---4---
D|---9--- ---2--- ---11-- ---9--- ---7--- ---6--- ---4--- ---2---
A|---7--- ---0--- ---11-- ---9--- ---7--- ---4--- ---2--- ---2---
E|---0--- ---X--- ---X--- ---X--- ---X--- ---X--- ---X--- ---0---
Verse 1:
I wish you o[E]ut of the woods
A
And into the picture with me.
I wish you o[E]ver the moon,
A
Come out of the question and be.
Chorus:
C# B A
If this is gonna run, round in my head, I might as well be dreaming,
C# B A
Run round in my head.
Verse 2:
E
I roller coaster for you,
Time out of mind must be h[A]eavenly.
E
It's all enchanted and wild,
Just like my heart said it was g[A]onna be.
If you want to do the round (with a buddy, of course),
it sounds a little more epic if you just play
the regular walk from C# - B - A
[C#]Run R[B]ound In my h[A]ead. I might as well be dreaming...
Just adds a little more depth. It's a deep song, man.
You can't go playing it without depth.
It's ment to be played with almost a confident, cyclical rythem (sp?).
So I would appreciate some feedback, friends. I'm a little new at this tabbing
business, but I got some phresh idead.
Do people spell that with a "PH" still?
See, that's why I need feedback.
Cheers,
The Count
