This is a tune by The Orwells. Young rock n roll band from Chicago.
The song has only two chords as far as I've figured out.
Some melody can be played when changing chords, it's not to hard to figure it out.
The difference between parts of the song is that some of them are played louder, have a
different rhythm, drums are drummed harder, guitars are strummed heavier and have a
break in between of lyrics/singing.
So, I'll call quieter parts verse and louder ones chorus.
Intro: G,C,G,C
Verse:
Damn, I feel lazy[G],
But don't forget [C]to wake me,
We got this fear [G]of aging,
We're living in a[C] daydream,
( Second part of the verse is a bit louder )
Tell me why she's[G] shaking,
Tell me what we'r[C]e chasing,
We got this fear [G]of aging,
I know that somet[C]hing's changing, changing, changing...
Little Break: G, C.
Verse:
But, damn, I feel la[G]zy,
Don't forget to wake[C] me,
We got this fear of [G]aging,
We're living in a da[C]ydream, daydream, daydream...
Little Break: G, C.
Chorus:
I know that something's ch[G]anging,
We got this fear of aging,[C]
We're living in a daydream[G],
Tell me what we're chasing[C],
I know that something's ch[G]anging, changing...
Verse ( goes quiet gradually ):
But, damn, I feel laz[C]y,
Now that something's [G]changed me,
We're living in a day[C]dream,
Little break: G, C.
Chorus( The loudest part, guitars strummed and drums drummed at full power ):
Damn, I feel la[G]zy
But you forgot [C]to wake me,
We got this fea[G]r aging,
We're living in[C] a daydream, daydream...
Outro( after the last chorus two chords played just to end it nicely ): G,C.
End on G.
Lyrics and chords figured out by me, hope they're accurate.
Have fun!
