#------------------------------------------------------------------------------##
Recently, someone posted chords for this Barenaked Ladies song from
"Maybe You Should Drive." It didn't sound quite right to me, and this is
what I've come up with. I play it with a capo on the 5th fret, but only
because it makes it easier to play the subtle adds that Ed throws in
along the way. Any comments are welcome, especially from the person who
made the original post.

LIFE IN A NUTSHELL
(Capo on 5th fret)
Intro: C E F (4x) (that second chord isn't quite right--the guitar
may just hold on the C major)
[C]When she was [G]three[Am], her Barbies always [F]did it on the [F/E]first date
[C]Now she's with [G]me,[Am] there's never any [F]need for them to[F/E] demonstrate
[C]She's like a baby, [G]I'm like a cat
[Am]When we are happy we [F]both get [F/E]fat
And [C]still it's never [G]enough, it's never [Am]enough, it's never [E]enough
[F]I don't [G]tend to worry '[C]bout the things that [E]other people [F]say
And I'm [G]learning that I [C]wouldn't want it [E]any other [F]way
Call me [G]crazy but it [C]really doesn't [E]matter
All that [F]matters to me is [Am]she
[C]Her [Am7]life [F] in a [G]nutshell
[C]No [Am7]way [F] would she [G]want me to
[C]Change [Am7]me [F] it's not that[G] easy 'cause
[C]My [Am7]time is [F]often de[G]cided for [Am]me[G][D][F]
For [Am]me[G][D][F]
Same for second verse and chorus
Bridge:
[Dm] I fell [G]down [Am] with no one to [F]catch me from [F/E]falling
[Dm] She came '[G]round
And [Am]only her [G]tenderness [F]stopped me from [F/E]bawling my [Dm]eyes out
I'm [G]okay
And that's why, etc.
