I Made a few adjustments to the other version on this site...most significantly
with the chorus. I am pretty sure the chorus is A-A7-D at "lay my burdens

down"; John's melodic line is G#-A-E-C#-(E-F#-E-)D, where E-F#-E are grace

notes, and the chords are struck at the first (G#), third (E), and fifth/last
(D) notes, leading me to believe that the chords are Amaj7-A-D at that point
in the chorus. But I could always be wrong. It sounds pretty good, though.

Also, if you listen to the verses, the E note is always played, making the D/A
a D2/A. I could be wrong about the A in the bass, though.

Verse 1:

[A] [D2/A] [E] [A] [E]
[A] [D2/A] [E] [D2/A] [E]
[A] [D2/A] [E] [A] [E] [D2/A]
Verse 2:

[A] [D2/A] [E] [A] [E]
[A] [D2/A] [E] [D2/A] [E]
[A] [D2/A] [E] [A] [E]
Chorus:

[A]
[D2/A]
[Amaj7] [A] [D2/A]
[A]
[D2/A]
[Amaj7] [D2/A]
[Amaj7] [A]
Turn: (starts at "-gin" at end of chorus, first half only for the first time
through)

[A] [D2/A] [E] [A] [E]
A D2/A E D2/A E (this half not played during first time)

Verse 3 (same as verse 1)
