IT'S ALL OVER NOW
written by Bobby Womack
from an early ROLLING STONES ' album : 12 x 5
Sounds peculiar to play because so old : it's rather a combination of country
rock and the Jagger/Richards'own inventiveness ( and probably Brian Jones'
too). It sounds as if it were played with two standard tuned guitars but
it is far easier to play with one standard tuned guitar and the other tuned
in open G like this from low to high : D G D G B D.
What I call the first guitar is the standard tuned one . The second is
the open G tuned one ( or standard if you choose). With the second
you tick most of the time five times like a metronome with your left
forefinger like shown in the tab : in fact you mute the string as soon
as you've picked it by stopping it above the A on the G string.
The bass played in a very old style is also tabbed.
You can hear an audio MP3 demo at the URL above.

h : hammer-on

0 means play the open string then mute immediately above the second fret.

Spent all my money playin' a high-class game
She put me out, it was a pity how I cried
The tables turning, now it's her turn to cry
Well, I used to wake up in the morning
Get my breakfast in bed
When I gotten worried
She could ease my aching head
But now she's here and there
With every man in town
Instead of trying to take me
For that same old clown
