Ok this is my 2nd tab, I just thought I'd give it a shot because it wasn't up here and
a good tune.
It's not 100% correct, but it sounds somewhat like what they play so here ya go. It's
a pick-then-strum song so just fiddle around with it and I'm sure you'll work it out.
Oh uh Capo on 3rd, but it sounds fine without one too. ENJOY
[Am]Just [Em7]fiftee[C]n miles from [F]shore
[Am]I los[Em7]t the l[C]ove that I ha[F]d
[Am]Slipp[Em7]ed and [C]fell into the[F] cold
[Am]Of th[Em7]e deep [C]and the dark [F]below
[Am]Big [Em7]wave, [C]small boa[F]t
[Am]We [Em7]tipped[C], I froz[F]e
[Am]My ha[Em7]nds wer[C]e ice, my feet were [F]stone
[Am]I cou[Em7]ld not [C]throw the rop[F]e
[E]I caught her eye as she dipped down with a wav[Am]e
[Am]I jum[Em7]ped in [C]but I was too[F] late
[Am]Fight[Em7]ing wit[C]h the currents of the Georgia Str[F]ait
[Am]Fight[Em7]ing wit[C]h the wind and the tide and the w[F]aves
[Am]I l[Em7]ost m[C]y love that[F] day
I touched her fingers as she breathed out my name
She smiled at me, I watched her fade away
To the deep and the dark of the underwave
To the Currents of the Georgia Strait
And here it's been ten years to the day
And here I'll sit for a hundred years and I'll wait
Till I see her smiling face
Come shining up through the waves
On the shore, in the rain I'll wait
Till I see my love again
I pray to God, I curse my luck, I question my faith
I curse my empty hearted fate
And I curse the wind and the tide and the waves
And I curse the currents of the Georgia Strait
Where I lost my love that day
Where I lost my heart
To the curse of the currents of the Georgia Strait
It's the curse of the currents of the Georgia Strait
