Ok here are the chords for Come Back To Camden from Morrissey. If you think
its wrong let me know. Isn't though.
I've written it in these keys because its easier to play so tune it up so the
first note intro is to your C. otherwise you're playing lots of bar chords
which don't sound too good (yep there still are some i know!).
The chord I've called B/G is from thinnest to thickest.... x 0 0 1 2 x
(where "x" means don't play). This is a piano song though so bear that in
mind, I suggest arpegio-ing the 4 notes in this chord, sounds nicer
and also sounds good if on the "F"'s you sometimes play the open top "e" -
ie.... 0 1 2 3 3 x especially right at the end.
Workings out dedicated to Kat La Chatte from james g, who first played me
the song...couldn't find the tabs anywhere(!) Think its the first tab for
this anywhere....anyways....sorry had to re-format/arrange it like this to
submit it...
stop messin' 'bout in foreign lands and Come back to camden, kitty...
[C]There is someth[F]ing I wanted to [C]tell you,
It's so funny[F] you'll kill yourself [C]laughing
But then [F]I, I look [C]around, And I [Amin]remember that I am
D Fmin Emin B/G
alone, Alone. For evermore
[C]The tile yard al[F]l along the [C]railings, Up a
[F]discoloured dark brown s[C]taircase
Here you'll [F]find, despair and [C]I, Calling to
[Amin]you with what's left of my [D]heart, My[Fmin] heart,
Emin B/G
For EVermore
[G#] Drinking [C#]tea with the taste of the[G#] Thames,
Su[C#]llenly on a chair on the [G#]pavement
Here you'll [C#]find, my thoughts and [G#]I, And here is
the [Fmin]very last plea from my [Bb]heart
C#min Cmin B/G
My heart. For evermore,
[E] Where taxi [A]drivers never stop [E]talking
Under [A]slate grey Victorian [E]sky, Here you will
[A]find, despair and [E]I
And here I am [C#min]every last inch of me is
F# Amin Abmin B/G
yours, Yours, For evermore
[C] Your [F]leg came to rest against [C]mine,
Then you [F]lounged with knees up and [C]apart
And me and my[F] heart, we[C] knew[Amin], [D]
Fmin Emin B/G
We just knew, For evermore
[C] Where taxi [F]drivers never stop [C]talking,
Under[F]slate grey Victorian [C]sky
Here you'll [F]find, my heart and [C]I, And still we say
[Amin]come back, [D]Come back to [Fmin]Camden
Emin B/G C F C F C F C
And I'll be good, I'll be good I'll be good, I'll be good
