Verses
The first part of of each verse is ascending then descending as you may have noticed;
the notes are played according to the ascending/descending nature of the verses. Once you
this you'll understand.
The first chord is an A.
Part 1-Ascending

Part 2-Descending

And right at the end of the verse when he goes "watch everything change around me, watch
change around me, yeah" he holds some form of D so you can play any form of D that you
or if you're cool you can play this there:

The chords for the chorus are: A, F#m, D, Dm but they are played barre like so:

Funky Variation near the end;
These are the chords for the funky variation at the end; there is a C# thrown in which
oh so delicate; apt composing in my opinion: A, C# F#m, D, Dm, and the final chord is an A
