Key: D flat (capo 1 - key of C)
Transcribed by: Rrapp81098@aol.com
Special Info: For this song you must use an alteration for all C, F, and Am.
For these chords you will keep your small (pinky) finger on the 4th fret (3rd
with capo 1) on the high E string. The hammer-on that you hear during the
intro and throughout the song on the C chord is performed with the middle
finger. Also, the transition from F back to C is a basic walk-up. Please
e-mail me if you need more detail :-). I'm not too sure about the chords on
the 2nd, 4th and 5th lines of the chorus (They are close but you will have to
experiment to find what sounds best for you).
Capo 1
Intro:C-F x8
Verse 1:
[C]Another day is off [F]running
[C]and I hear somebody,[F] poundin on my door
[C]it's opportunity [F]knocking
[C]says what I need is just [F]a little bit more.
[Am]Every time I turn [G]around I'm finding
[F]another chance to climb a [G]little higher up.
[Am]but it's never what I [G]thought once I get there
[F]and I'm left wondering [G]how much is left
Chorus:
[C]I can live like a prisoner to all I could be
[C(F)]I'm living in the land of oppor[G]tun[C]ity
[C]but a heart pure and simple is a heart that stays free
[C(F)]I'm living in the land of oppor[G]tun[C]ity
[C(F)]I'm living in the land of oppor[G]tun[C]ity
Verse 2:
This is a world full of options
it's like a never-ending buffet line
while all that I'm really needing
is living water and the bread of life.
So as I'm walking through this life making choices
there is one thing I must never forget
this land of opportunity has one God
if I seek Him first, He'll take care of the rest
(Chorus)(Solo)
C-F-C-F etc.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God (x2)
(Chorus)
C-F-C-F etc.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
So many Choices, so much you could lose
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
Living in the land of opportunity
Seek ye first the kingdom of God (x3)
