drop 1 whole step and drop the 6th string to C (C-G-C-F-A-D)
\\\ I highly recommend you listen to the song while figuring this out ///
Intro (played with a light phaser)
Intro - continued (entire band kicks in. notice the slides.)
Intro - continued (this is also played as a Post-Chorus)
notice that he ends on -0- this time ^
Verse - Riff 1
these verse riffs are very hard to figure out since
they are really quick and distorted. but try this,
and you'll see that it sounds very similar.
PM . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Verse - Riff 2
bended harmonic
you don't HAVE to play a bended harmonic. Personally I just play
the note with a vibrato without the harmonic. That means bend it
slightly and quickly.
PM . . . . . . . . .
##### both of the verse riffs are somewhat difficult to play. #####
one tip is to play around with the notes on the 6th
string but make sure you hit the KEY NOTES.
Yes, I know. Now comes the chorus. But one small detail.
Right before entering the chorus, they hit two notes.
... OF WHAT USED TO BE!
Chorus
Guitar A
she's clothed with the silk ...
DRYYYYY!!!!!! They'll drain us all dry! (same as mentioned before)
^^^ fret the 8's with your index finger
and the 9 with your middle finger
Chorus
Guitar B
she's clothed with
(and the echoes will come)
the silk
(they'll come all around)
waiting to be
(and drain us)
drained dry
(all ....)
(DRYYYY!!)
\\\ ONE LAST THING ///
the first time they do the chorus, they only do it once.
But the second time, they do it twice. In between these
two choruses, there's TWO "bangs" if you can call it that.
they go:
^ ^ (same as before)
s c s c
n r n r she's clothed with the silk ...
[a]r [a]s [a]r [a]s
e h e h
whew! that's it. the order is pretty easy to figure out.
