Don?t Let Us Get Sick ? WARREN ZEVON ? ?LIFE?LL KILL YA? ? 1999
The weird ?Cmajsus2? chord is played x2001x
I pluck the strings individually like he does, rather than strum, it definitely sounds
better that way. Also, when it comes to the Am chord at the end of the third line of the
verse/chorus (i.e ?all right' ?the line? and ?in time?), he does a little decoration
phrase where he plucks the last three strings of the Am chord kinda quickly, listen out for
it in the song, it?s a nice touch.
I?m pretty sure it?s all correct here, maybe not exactly how he plays it but it sounds
good, that?s for sure. Another classic by Warren Zevon, enjoy and please leave comments
if you find any mistakes.

Don't let[C] us get sick
Don't let[F] us get old[C]
Don't le[C]t us get st[Cmaj7sus2]upid, all righ[Am]t?
Just m[F]ake us be br[C]ave
And ma[G]ke us play nice[Am]
And l[F]et us be together t[G]onight[C]
The s[C]ky was on fire
When I walke[F]d to the mill[C]
To ta[C]ke up the[Cmaj7sus2] slack in the line[Am]
I t[F]hought of my friends[C]
And the troubl[G]es they've had[Am]
To ke[F]ep me from thinking o[G]f mine[C]
Don't [C]let us get sick
Don't let[F] us get old[C]
Don't le[C]t us get st[Cmaj7sus2]upid, all righ[Am]t?
Just ma[F]ke us be brave[C]
And mak[G]e us play nice[Am]
And let [F]us be together ton[G]ight[C]
The m[C]oon has a face
And it sm[F]iles on the lake[C]
And ca[C]uses the [Cmaj7sus2]ripples in time[Am]
I'm lu[F]cky to be h[C]ere
With som[G]eone I like[Am]
Who maket[F]h my spirit to shi[G]ne[C]
Don't let[C] us get sick
Don't let [F]us get old[C]
Don't le[C]t us get st[Cmaj7sus2]upid, all righ[Am]t?
Just ma[F]ke us be brave[C]
