A simpler way to play it on acoustic guitar.
There's a couple of quick jazzy chords, but, if you use the shapes shown
at the bottom of the page, they're relatively easy, just use the
index finger to barre the top three strings on both chords.

At the end of the choruses the bass does an octave rundown.
Playing in Am you can't get that bottom D without detuning
your 6th string, but this riff is close enough:
