so here's the riff that gets played throughout the song, might want
to practice this alot since it is the signature of the song

b--3--3--3-- the best way to play this comfortably is to play the "3"
g--0--0--0-- on the Low E with your thumb, the "3" on the B with your
d--0--0--0-- ring finger and the "3" on the High E with your pinkie. This
a--x--x--x-- way you have your middle finger free to get the "2" on the
e--3--3--3-- High E.

e--3--2--3-- your hand position shouldn't change that much here, just now
b--3--3--3-- you are using your pointer finger for the "2" on the A string.
g--0--0--0-- everything else about this stays the same so don't feel inclined
d--x--x--x-- to lift your hand off of the fretboard. if you noticed, your
a--2--2--2-- pointer finger was completely ignored in the first chord.

e--0--0--0--0-- this is your basic A minor position, with a twist. the G
b--1--0--3--1-- string is open at all times. finger positions should be middle
g--0--0--0--0-- finger on "2" on the D string, and pointer finger and pinkie
d--2--2--2--2-- making the "1--0--3--1" change on the B string, but nothing
a--0--0--0--0-- else moves in this chord

e--0--0--0-- this is almost a carbon copy of the finger positioning that you
b--1--0--3-- just had with the last chord, just now you reach your ring finger
g--0--0--0-- up to play the "3" on the A string. the "1--0--3" change is once
d--2--2--2-- again done by the pointer and pinkie fingers.

four more chords that are used in this song are B minor 7th, E flat, D and F.
F doesn't appear until the last 5 seconds of the song, so we won't talk about
that too much.

e--[Bm7]2-- this chord is easy to play, but its in the song and then out so quick
b--3-- change may take some practice. you barre across the second fret with
g--2-- your pointer finger, and then your ring goes on the "4" on the D string
d--4-- and your middle goes on the "2" position on the B string.

Eb (b means the word Flat)
e--x-- now these guys may be playing more than this but this is all I can hear
b--x-- so I am willing to take suggestions on this part, but it does sound
g--8-- right to me. what I mean is, I know that its the right chord, i am
d--8-- unsure if they are ONLY playing these three notes to make the chord.

e--[D]0-- truely one of my favorite ways to play D, as it is just sliding up from
b--3-- the C position you are already in two frets. it sounds totally different
g--0-- but still has everything there to make it a D.

e--[F]1-- rather basic chord, you just barre across the first fret with you
b--1-- pointer finger and then use your ring for the "3" on the A string, your
g--2-- pinkie on the "3" on the D string, and your middle finger on the "2" on
d--3-- the G string

now you'll notice that I put the names of the chords above the basis chords. this
means to you that if you don't want to play the riffs and just want to play the
chords along with the song, then you just strum those chords and those chords will
work fine. now i am only going to put the names of the chords above the lyrics
until I get to a chords that I haven't already discussed.
