All Things Must Change -- Runrig
Key of Bb, most easily played G capo 3.
(Verse)
The r[G]oad was long, our steps were [D]new
The storms of innoc[C]ence, strong and fresh they b[G]lew
Directions t[G]urned, Love changing h[D]ands
We stood like g[C]ods before, all our maps and p[G]lans
But a[D]ll, a[C]ll things must ch[G]ange
So d[D]on't look back, just w[C]alk aw[G]ay
(Verse)
That morning dawn, with no regrets
We stood in line, we laughed in silhouette,
On the learning ground, the place we loved best
That was our final time, out in the west
But all,all things must change
So don't look back, just walk away.

(Bridge)
Now the c[C]ars come like rivers, n[G]ight comes like madness
S[G]ongs come like trains
He[C]adlights flash in the d[Em]arkness, me[G]mories twist in the r[D]ain
And we f[C]eel those flickering moments, like s[G]ilk they're the flags of our days
And the [C]past is only the p[Em]art of l[D]ife we've thrown a[G]way.
(Verse)
The river's dark, in constant flow,
Swollen by winter streams, and the melting snow
I see your face, across the miles
To where some kindness showed our fate intertwined.
But all, all things must change
So don't look back, just walk away
But all, all things must change,
So don't look back, just walk away
I'm a singer-songwriter, and I perform this song fairly regularly. When I play it, it's
usually in a simple arrangement with acoustic guitar or guitar+ keyboard. I use a simple
flatpicking pattern on the first and last verses, play normal rhythm guitar on the 2nd
verse and bridge.
I'm not quite sure about the bridge, but that should work. Runrig is an amazing band
with some incredible songs, and I'd encourage you to listen to all of their music! Cheers!
