Tuning: Standard Tuning (EADGBe) with Capo I
And I [C]long for you [F]to appear
C F Gm
After losing your way across star riddled skies
(Cadd9 C Em/C C)
To carry you home
(x2)
I [C]cherish [F]my [(Fsus2)]loss
A [C]gentle re[F]min[(Fsus2)]der,
that [C]life is [F]un[(Fsus2)]kind[C]
At the [F]best of times[(Fsus2)]
And I [C]long for you [F]to appear
C F Gm
After losing your way across star riddled skies
(Cadd9 C Em/C C)
To carry you home
(x2)
I [C]cherish [F]my [(Fsus2)]loss
A [C]gentle re[F]min[(Fsus2)]der,
that [C]life is [F]un[(Fsus2)]kind[C]
At the [F]best of times[(Fsus2)]
Brace your self, cause I think I'm coming for you.
Look up into the sky
[C]Home could be [G]anywhere, when [Am]I am holding [F]you...
[---]
The chords in brackets () are optional.
You can also play a G major chord instead. Doesn't really matter.
Optional. If you want to play something easier, just play a simple
C major. If you don't, here's a tip:
Begin with your index finger on the B string (1st fret), your
middle finger on the D string (2nd fret), your ring finger on the A
string (3rd fret) and your pinky finger on the B string (3rd fret)
(so you'd now play a Cadd9). For the C, just take your pinky away (with
your index still being on B 1st) and for the Em/C, take both your pinky
and your index off the fretboard. Then go back to C by placing your
index on B 1st again.
