i saw the chords to "you and me" on this and they were close but wrong. i figured thi
out a while back and i played and played it and then i bought the last dj song book and
saw that my chords were correct! thats the first time i did something by myself and they
were correct! so here is my favorite tom petty song "you and me" in the correct way.
"You and Me"
Intro: G
[G]Take a look at what I've g[Bm/F#]ot
I can't pr[Em]om-ise you a lo[Em(maj7)]t[B7]
but you and me[Am] [D7]
and the road ahea[Am]d[D7]
[G]I can't save you from yourself[Bm/F#]
you got to want[Em] it, all that's le[Em(maj7)]ft[B7]
is you and me [Am][D7]
and the road ah[Am]ead[D7]
[G]wherever that wind might blow
[Bm/F#]wherever that river rolls [F]
you know I will go with you[Am] Ooh..[D7].[Am][D7]
looking[G] over a mountain's crown[Bm/F#]
the water roars [Em]and tumbles dow[Em(maj7)]n[B7]
like you and me [Am][D7]
and the road ahead[Am][D7]
[G]wherever that wind might blow
[Bm/F#]wherever that river rolls [F]
You know I will go with you[Am] Ooh..[D7].[Am][D7]
like you and me[Am][D7]
and the[Am] road ahead[D7][Am]
Ahead...
Outro: G
PS:
-at the intro the piano does a riff its the notes B C B A B i always do B C B A G B but
whichever floats your boat.
-Other posts I have done are:
under Tom Petty: "Surrender" and "Melinda" (should be up)
under John Mellencamp: "Thank You"
-i have some favorite quotes, but I'm too lazy to post them at the bottom, they're at
the bottom of the "melinda" chords.
"shes gods gift to man" -tp
