Here are the chords for this awesome song by WOTE. Hopefully this is vaguely correct.
It's my first tab so please be gentle.
The one concern I have is the Am7/G chord in the verse. I've watched live
footage of the band and noticed that Ryan releases his 3rd finger from the
Am chord and plays the 3rd fret on the E string (or at least it sounds like
it), thus making (I believe), an Am7/G chord. I'm still getting to grips
with the lesser known chords, so any assistance would be welcomed. How I've
interpreted the chord should be below.
Listen to the song for rhythm and to try and figure out what I mean regarding the chord itself
As I say, I don't think it's perfect, but it may be a start for someone to
improve on. Any comments, criticisms and feedback would be most welcome to
caerusaviation@gmail.com
Enjoy. :)
Capo 3rd Fret
Intro: Mandolin & Ukulele
(0:07)
[Am] [Am7] [Am] [Am7] [Am] [Am7] [Am] [Am7]
The [Am]second snow is heaven [Am7/G]sent
You [Am]laid it out like evi[Am7/G]dence
Read [Am]all the words you never [Am7/G]said
Like [Am]speeches for the Presi[Am7/G]dent
I [Am]drew your name in white ce[Am7/G]ment
Made [Am]promises and reve[Am7/G]rence
To [Am]save them for your refe[Am7/G]rence
A [Am]victim of my circum[Am7/G]stance
But [C]oh, when you [G]lay your hands on [Am]me
I know that I can heal
There's a [C]blinding light that [G]no one else can [Dm]see
G (One Strum) Am
Nobody, no, nobody but me
Oh oh [C]oh oh oh [F]oh
[Dm]Nobody, no, [G]nobody but [Am]me
Oh oh [C]oh oh oh [F]oh
Dm G Am (One Strum)
Nobody, no, nobody but me
There's [Am]signatures to fina[Am7/G]lize
Our [Am]pen had found the bottom [Am7/G]line
The [Am]past that had me para[Am7/G]lyzed
And [Am]on my future ana[Am7/G]lyzed
And [Am]do you think we got it [Am7/G]right
Or [Am]we'll both disagree this [Am7/G]time
And [Am]will it turn the wicked [Am7/G]tide
Or be a [Am]ghost that keeps us up at [Am7/G]night
But [C]oh, when you [G]lay your hands on [Am]me
I know that I can heal
There's a [C]blinding light that [G]no one else can [Dm]see
