Track: Share the Road
Album: The Thrill of the Hunt
Tabber: Andrew Biles
Quite a fast one to play, but if you're having trouble with the speed of the strumming
recommend learning the chord changes and where they come in first and it should help you
in the long run. There are a couple of diminished chords in there as well that are
nice (if they don't come up on the chord diagram thing, check at the bottom and I've
them out). It sounds as though a lot of it is played with barre chords rather than open
but either match well with the track.
Standard Tuning
[F]Troubled at the office, troubled [Am]at the bank
I put my [F]hands against the tree line
I know it's [Am]real, but it still feels fake
The [Dm]last thing I remember from that World
G Mutes
Was a drum take clicked out on the tape too slow.
Oh what a [F]life we give
Toward obsess[Am]ions and currled toes
And the d[F]eath line that's running
Through our friends[Am] as well as foes
And the [Dm]tree line looks over like a be[G]nding ghost
As I go[C] down this r[Dm]oad of the bored and the[G] boring
[F]No one saw it coming, every[Am]one was shocked
So I b[F]ummed my roommate's helmet
And keep a tig[Am]ht grip on my bike lock
Takes the [Dm]side streets, [Bbdim/G]keep my e[Dm]yes clocked
Oh, it [G]only takes a second to pass
I've had some [F]really nice people
Say some [Am]really smart things to me
I've had [F]really good people
Bummed out [Am]here in this bed next to me
So I s[Dm]ing my life in circles
Through these o[G]utrages and I
Have had some[C] really nice people
Have to t[Am]ell me goodbye
So I [Dm]give a wish to a nickel, close my[Bdim/Ab] eyes and
Let it fly and try to [Am]stay positive[Am][G][Am][/]
