Seven Deadly sins - Dubliners
This is my version of seven deadly sins that I have worked out by ear.
This may not be %100 correct but its how I play it.
Capo 2nd fret (or transpose 2 up and play in A)
[G]Some say that kissin's a sin
But tell me how can that be [Em]true
For [G]kissing has been in this world
Since the very first [D]day there was [G]two
Now [G]if it wasn't legal then the [D]lawyers they would sue
And the [F]prisons would be full of folk who [C]had a kiss or two
And [G]if they didn't like it then away the girls would run
And if it wasn't plenty then the [D]poor folk would get [G]none
[G]Some say that gamblin's a sin
But I'll bet you fifteen to [Em]one
That [G]gambling has been in this world
Since horses and [D]greyhounds could [G]run
Now [G]if it wasn't legal then the [D]lawyers they would sue
And the [F]prisons would be full of folk who [C]had a bet or two
And [G]if they didn't like it then away the girls would run
And if it wasn't plenty then the [D]poor folk would get [G]none
[G]Some say that swearin's a sin
But where is the man that can [Em]tell
For [G]swearing has been in this world
Since the Devil was [D]told go to [G]hell
Now [G]if it wasn't legal then the [D]lawyers they would sue
And the [F]prisons would be full of folk who [C]had a curse or two
And [G]if they didn't like it then away the girls would run
And if it wasn't plenty then the [D]poor folk would get [G]none
[G]Some say that smokin's a sin
And a pipe now and then is [Em]enough
But [G]smoking has been in this world
Since Adam taught [D]Eve how to [G]puff
Now [G]if it wasn't legal then the [D]lawyers they would sue
And the [F]prisons would be full of folk who [C]had a smoke or two
And [G]if they didn't like it then away the girls would run
And if it wasn't plenty then the [D]poor folk would get [G]none
[G]Some say that drinkin's a sin
But a gargle is fine now and [Em]then
For [G]drinking has been in this world
For ever and [D]ever, A[G]men
Now [G]if it wasn't legal then the [D]lawyers they would sue
And the [F]prisons would be full of folk who [C]had a drink or two
And [G]if they didn't like it then away the girls would run
