And the [C]paper they were [G]signing [Em]said they'd [D]never [D7]fight [G]again.
And [G]when the papers all were signed and a [C]million copies [G]made
They [D]all joined hands and [G]bowed their [Em]heads and [C]grateful [D7]prayers were
[G]prayed
And the [C]people in the [G]streets below were [D]dancing [D7]round and [G]round [G7]
And [C]guns and swords and [G]uni [Em]forms were [D]scattered [D7]on the [G]ground.
