Artist : The Bluetones
Song : Keep the Home Fires Burning
Album : Science and Nature
Tabbed by Paul Moore
Great song by a great band!!!! Looked for the tab for ages but eventually worked it out.
When playing single version play open versions of each chord, if playing along with the US
version, then you play the verse chords in d-shaped chords sliding down the bottom three
strings (i.e Em xx0453, F#m xx0675, G xx0787 )
Happy playing and thanks for looking at my first tab
[D]Can I stay at you house?
[Em]I'll sleep on the floor,
[F#m]My home is war zone,
[G]I've no stomach for more.
[D]You can't hold a candle,
[Em]To what I saw today,
[F#m]More than I can handle,
[G]So I'm running away[G/F#]
Chorus
[Em]And those Home fires [A]burn scorching a [F#m]hole through [G]me,
And [Em]I am [A]welcome no more[D].
Verse 2
[D]It's the harrowing story,
[Em]Of one mans mistake,
[F#m]And the names have been left out,
[G]For the innocents sake.
[D]And that man who would save us,
[Em]From the hurt the world brings,
[F#m]Neglected to mention,
[G]Who would save us from him?[G/F#]
(CHORUS)
[D]Now I've no one to turn to,
[Em]I guess I'm at my wits end,
[F#m]I'm beginning to learn who,
[G]Are really my friends[G/F#].
(CHORUS)
