Been on a few chord patterns for this song and theyre close but not quite
right so thought i'd do my own. Im on a piano instead of a guitar but the
progressions should be just as easy on guitar as they are on piano. Not
too sure about the lyrics but they sound rightish.
Well las[D]t night i couldn't sleep, so i got up and started walking[G]
Right do[D]wn the end of my street, and on into town[A]
Well I had[D] no one to meet, [D7/C] and i had no taste for talking[G][Gmin]
Seems I'm talking [D]my whole life, it's t[A]ime i list[G]ened now.[D]
(This progressions continues for all the verses)
I walked past the late night boys, with their bottles and their doorways
I walked past the businessmen, sleeping like babies in their cars,
And i thought to myself oh son, you may be lost in more ways than one
But i've a feeling that it's more fun, than knowing exactly where you are
(Chorus)
[D]Like[A] a s[G]tone
[G]Carried[A] on the r[D]iver
[D]Like [A]a Bo[G]at
I'm Sa[G]iling o[D]n the se[A]a
So I keep on wa[D]lking, [D7/C]
I keep on w[G]alking[Gmin]
Until I[D] find that o[A]ld love, or tha[G]t old love,
Com[A]es to find me[D]
I can't remember the proper structure of the song at the moment but if you
listen to it you can work it out pretty quick
(Bridge)
[D]Oh L[A]o who[G]a
[G]oh w[A]hoa who[D]a
[D]oh lo[A] whoa[G]
[G]whoa [D]whoa [A]whoa
Then the chorus again.
Hope this helps
