"Chevy Thunder" - Spector
Through most of the song the two guitar players are pretty much playing chords at
different rhythms. I haven't tabbed out the solo part just yet and there are some little fills
throughout that you can figure out yourself. Very fun song to play!
Use barre chords and play around with the fingerings. In the recording they mute the 1st
and 6th strings most of the time.
| A | A | D | E | (x2)
[A]Not coming back but I can't stop waiting
Give me a minute while my heart stops breaking
[D]Give me a minute while I fix my tie
[E]Give me a minute while I take my life
[A]Back into my own hands,
There's a Chevy Thunder on the drive tonight
[D]I'll take your father's car,
And [E]I'm not coming back alive
You [D]know you could've been here, honey
[F#m]Sitting by my right-hand side, tonight
[E]I'll take your father's car, and
[C#]Drive, drive, drive!
And what[D]ever I never could ever let you go (let you go)
[A]I'm a lover and probably at heart but (I wouldn't know)
E N.C.
I'm riding I'm riding as fast as this car goes
Chevy Thunder, Chevy, Chevy Thunder!
| A | A | D | E |
[A]Once in a while not twice in a while
When heaven brakes, I see you smile
[D]I know it hurts, I know it hurts,
[E]I know, (woah ohh woah-oh)
[A]I'm not what you want
You fell in love with an idea
[D]And I was never never never never never enough
[E]Tonight I'm riding out of here
You [D]know you could've been here, honey
[F#m]Sitting by my right-hand side, tonight
[E]I'll take your father's car, and
[C#]Drive, drive, drive!

I'm [F#m]waking up a[E]new
